Global Solutions LLC is currently executing a large‑scale fiber optic uplink project to interconnect multiple buildings across Sultan Qaboos University’s campus. The initiative is designed to establish a high‑speed, resilient backbone that supports academic, administrative, and research activities with seamless connectivity.

The scope of work includes the laying of 50 kilometers of fiber optic cable, along with 1,200‑core splicing to ensure robust interconnectivity between facilities. Advanced OTDR testing is being carried out to validate performance and signal integrity, while detailed area layout design ensures optimal routing and long‑term scalability.

This project will enable campus‑wide high‑speed connectivity, strengthening SQU’s IT infrastructure and positioning the university to support next‑generation digital services, collaborative research, and enhanced learning environments.
